Opulentworx evolved from one man's passion for the music industry. In 1998 James "Jamez" Wheeler began designing and printing products for local and regional music acts near St. Louis. Jamez created flyers, posters, cd artwork, bio's, press kits, and more for the musical acts he loved. Some of his printed "worx" were for such bands and sponsors as... Eli-Stone, Big Blue Monkey (now signed to Maverick Records as "Story of the Year"), Drain STH, Playground King, Stryck 9, Extreme 104.1 Radio, 4 Seasons Media Productions, Slacker's CD's and Games, and... more! Hundreds of thousands of flyers and posters canvased the St. Louis metropolitan area as an in-expensive medium that was coupled to run with weekly radio commercials advertising concerts and shows. Yet, something was missing. Jamez left St. Louis on Valentine's day of 2001 for a soul searching, warmth seeking vacation to Florida and has resided there ever since. After a seven year hiatus of fishing for a living and creating art on the side, Jamez has found his "love" and she has inspired him to bring his "worx" to the next level. |
